How To Cancel A FinRev Lite Subscription

A FinRev Lite cancellation request can occur under the following scenarios:

  • If a customer requests to cancel their FinRev Lite subscription (often after a free trial period),
  • If a customer is past due on their subscription payment for more than 7 days. In this scenario, Ontraport will send a cancellation task request to HelpScout.

To cancel a FinRev Lite subscription, complete the following steps:

Ontraport Steps

  • Log in Ontraport
  • Go to the customer's profile
  • Scroll to: Automations and Tags
  • Delete the following automation tag to stop Past Due email reminders: FINREV LITE : ($49 per Month) - Controller

  • Go to Purchases
  • Scroll to: Subscriptions and Payment Plans
  • Delete the open order
    • If requested, the first subscription payment can be refunded from 'Transactions' (right click on transaction and refund)

  • Go to the FinRev tab
  • Change the customer’s deactivation date to today’s date
    • Refresh the page and check that the FinRev Lite deactivation has been checked (this will automatically deactivate the customer's FinRev Lite account).

HelpScout Steps

  • If the customer requested cancellation, send a reply confirming that it has been processed.
  • For Ontraport task notifications, click the link in the notification to complete the task. This will update the completion date in Ontraport.

  • Notes:
    • If the customer used their Black Friday offer and had an active FinRev Lite account (check the FinRev tab in Ontraport), they are not entitled to receive another free trial.
    • If the customer says they never used their trial and asks for the current 6 month trial of FinRev Lite,
      • Check their FinRev Lite tab to verify they did not have a FinRev Lite User ID
      • Grant access to the customer by adding the FinRev Lite bonus tag: FinRev Lite Bonus (FinRev Webinar)
